Connells Group publishes H1 2026 Land and New Homes FactsheetLNH

Connells Group has published its latest Land and New Homes Factsheet, providing insight into buyer demand, affordability and new build market performance during the first half of 2026.

The research shows that houses continue to dominate new build sales, accounting for 80% of transactions. Affordability remains a key driver of demand, with lower-priced homes and regions seeing the highest levels of buyer activity.

The report also highlights that new build homes continue to command a premium over second-hand properties, while Shared Ownership is playing an increasingly important role as buyers access homeownership later in life.

Looking ahead, the market is expected to remain cautious, but demand for affordable, well-positioned new homes is likely to stay resilient.
